Grapes are grown in Rioja Alta, from vineyards of over 50 years old. Picking is carefully monitored as to reach the ideal level of phenolic and aromatic maturation and grapes reach the winery in trailers of maximum 4.000kg.
Varieties: 95% Tempranillo - 5% Mazuelo
Cherry colour with light purple accents, lively and fruity, dominated by wooden note. Well rounded phenolic balance. Wide, soft, well structured taste with long tannis.
Refined after taste.
Traditional process of stemming, cold maceration for 2 to 3 days and fermentation at a temperature of between 26-28 oC. The wine remains barreled for 14-15 days.
Upon completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine is racked off and left without further treatment for 1-2 months and further ages in American oak casks for 12 months.
Best served at around 16ºC.
